QUICKCLAD SYSTEM POLYSTYRENE CLADDING

At Quickwall, our innovative QuickClad sheeting is perfectly suited to the Australian climate, whether you’re up north in the humidity of the wet tropics, down south where the weather is cooler, or out in central Australia, where the sun’s rays never seem to abate.

Strong and durable, this product is mould resistant and fire retardant, meaning it’s able to cope with hot and cold climates, as well as damp and/or humid conditions. Ultimately, this means that your walls will remain looking good for many years to come and add value to your property in the process.

Our innovative QuickClad product is also an eco-friendly option for those who are looking for ways to reduce their environmental footprint. Providing excellent insulation, it works to keep the cold out (and therefore your home warm) during cooler weather, whilst also keeping the heat out during those hot summer months. QuickClad sheets have an excellent R value, which measures the ability of materials (such as insulation) to retard heat flow; QuickClad 60mm sheets have an R value of 1.666 while the 70mm sheets have an R value of 2.0. This can result in reduced energy consumption over time, saving you money in the long run. QuickClad is also completely non-toxic and therefore safe for the environment.

The Benefits Of Our QuickClad Polystyrene Cladding

Suitable for use on both new and existing buildings, QuickClad comes in a range of different thicknesses, including 60mm sheets designed for steel frames, and 70mm sheets for timber frames. Attractive, cost-effective and energy efficient, it is the ideal external wall cladding option for those in search of exceptional flexibility and value for money.

Tough & Durable

QuickClad, as with all Quickwall products, has been developed and tested in the tropics, meaning it’s designed to handle the harsh Australian climate from the far north to the southern end of the country.

Energy Efficient

Used by the European building industry for half a century to battle the continent’s cold climate, polystyrene cladding is now a cost effective option for those planning to build or renovate here in Australia.

Easy To Use

QuickClad is ultra-lightweight and very easy to use. In most cases it’s possible for one person to handle QuickClad sheets with ease. The sheets can be cut and modified with basic tools.

External Wall Cladding

QuickClad is an exterior wall cladding for new and existing buildings. Thicknesses of QuickClad sheets come in 60mm (for steel frame) or 70mm (for timber frame) to provide a deep reveal appearance.

How Does QuickClad Work?

QuickClad is essentially a rigid cellular insulation board and installation is relatively simple. Once the frame of the building has been erected, the boards are secured horizontally to the stud wall frame using specially-designed fixing discs and QuickBond adhesive. Any protrusions, such as windows, doors and decorative pieces, can be fitted either before or after the base coat application. QuickClad sheets can span stud centres of 600mm.

We recommend using QuickClad with our specifically designed Quickwall mineral-based two-pack polymer composite (a mix of Quickwall Skimcoat and Quickwall Polymer, the details of which you can find on our Specifications Page) and QuickClad Mesh. These products work to form a strong waterproof foundation for your Quick Finish of choice, ensuring the surface looks great for many years to come. The base coat should be allowed to dry overnight before the Quick Finish top coat is applied. Quickwall’s base coat and Quick Finishes work together to seal the cladding from the elements, ensuring it’s waterproof and UV resistant. These finishes are available in a wide range of different colours and textures, making it easy to find a top coat that suits your aesthetic vision. QuickClad is a cladding and therefore any racking or structural properties are not taken into account by Australian Standards. All structural properties must be in the frame in accordance to the Building Codes of Australia.

What are the Insulation Values of Quickclad?

R values in accordance with polystyrene manufacturers are as follows: Thickness: 60mm R Value: 1.666 Thickness: 70mm R Value: 2.0. For more technical data on QuickClad, download the QuickClad Technical Data Sheet here..
